Deeprogramming® is dedicated to a different way of being, a way that embraces the richness and complexity of all human experiences. It's a place where we can acknowledge the realities of our shared history and the ongoing struggles we face, both individually and collectively through the lenses of mental health counseling.
As someone living on the ancestral lands of the Nipmuc people, I recognize the deep history and ongoing legacy of Indigenous Peoples in this region. I acknowledge the suffering and resilience of their ancestors, and I commit to learning and honoring their history.
I acknowledge the deep wounds of slavery and the legacy of white supremacy that continue to shape our society. The pain inflicted on people of the Africa Diaspora is undeniable, and I commit to actively dismantling systems of oppression.
I acknowledge the LGBTQIA+ community, recognizing that anti-trans and homophobic violence are rooted in the same systems of domination that perpetuate racism. I am committed to creating a space where Queer identities are respected.
I acknowledge the trauma and dehumanization inflicted by the United States prison system and the individuals who have been unjustly incarcerated. I stand with survivors of these systems, recognizing the need for restorative justice and abolition.
I acknowledge the pervasive nature of male privilege and commit to challenging gender inequality in all its forms.
I acknowledge survivors of sexual violence and incest. I stand in solidarity and commit to advocating for their safety and healing.
I acknowledge the experiences of survivors of psychiatric trauma and medical trauma. I recognize that these experiences can be deeply isolating and painful, and I commit to creating a space that validates and honors these struggles.
I acknowledge the shared experience of displacement and violence that has impacted countless lives, from those impacted by war and immigration to those caught in the grip of the military industrial complex. We are all connected through these shared traumas.
I acknowledge the struggle of poverty and the deep inequalities that plague our society. I recognize that wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, and I commit to working towards a more just and equitable distribution of resources. I specifically acknowledge the suffering of the houseless, those who have been denied basic necessities and shelter, and I commit to advocating for their needs and human rights.
I acknowledge the power of our bodies and the wisdom they hold. I am committed to embracing bodily autonomy and challenging the societal forces that seek to control our bodies.
I acknowledge the importance of intersectionality, understanding that "the experience of being Black in America is not the same as being Black and female in America," as Kimberlé Crenshaw eloquently stated. I recognize that our identities are complex and overlapping, and I commit to creating a space where all
voices and experiences are valued and honored.
I acknowledge the suffering of people in the Middle East and Africa due to Western oppression, including anti-Muslim and anti-Arab sentiments. I recognize the devastating impact of colonialism, war, and ongoing exploitation, and I commit to fighting against these systems of oppression. This includes acknowledging the Palestinian genocide, the Sudanese genocide, and the ongoing exploitation of resources in the Congo, among other atrocities.
I acknowledge the importance of environmental justice, recognizing the disproportionate impact of pollution and climate change on marginalized communities. I commit to working towards a future where all beings have access to clean air, water, and a healthy environment.
I acknowledge the suffering of animals, recognizing that their exploitation and mistreatment is a direct result of human greed and dominance. I commit to advocating for their rights and protection.
I acknowledge the land grabbing and exploitation of our Mother Earth for the benefit of the few. I commit to fighting against the systems that prioritize profit over the health of the planet and all its inhabitants.
I acknowledge the survivors of police terrorism and violence. I recognize the systematic oppression and brutality inflicted upon marginalized communities, and I commit to working towards a future where all people are safe and respected.
I acknowledge the importance of international solidarity, recognizing that acknowledging each other's truths does not diminish our own. We are stronger when we stand together.
