PhenoSomo Decolonizing is my framework for restoring sovereignty, forged from a legacy of occupied bodies. My grandmother was a Croatian partisan who survived four years as a political prisoner. My own life began in the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution. This work exists at the intersection of these inherited silences—to help you decode the somatic archives of displacement and resistance you carry.
PhenoSomo Decolonizing is the core framework of my psychotherapy practice. Through curiosity and self-compassion, we become able to observe unconscious programs that distort perception and embodiment. Awareness is the catalyst that allows for recalibrating these programs to their original functions, that are to sustain life, growth and sovereignty/authenticity.
In practice, this means becoming a compassionate witness to your own lived experience, and learning to observe your perceptions, emotions, and felt sense and begin to differentiate the implanted cage from the authentic self.
The goal is not to replace one program with another, but to restore your capacity to trust your own experience, - to return to the authority of your own senses, emotions, and inner knowing. This is the foundation of sovereignty.
